How To Identify The Quality of Silicone Sheets

Silicone sheets for vacuum forming machines (also known as silicone sheets for vacuum laminating machines/positive and negative pressure vacuum forming machines) are the core heat-resistant and elastic components in vacuum forming equipment. They are mainly used for PVC film lamination processes on wooden doors, cabinets, furniture panels, and automotive interiors.

High-quality silicone sheets (silicone skin) for vacuum forming machines need to be heat resistant, tear resistant, elastic, and have good wear resistance.

Key performance characteristics: High temperature resistance: Typical operating temperature range is -50°C to 250°C (high-quality imported materials can reach 320°C), and it is not prone to aging under frequent heating cycles. High tear resistance and resilience: It has excellent tensile strength (typically ≥ 8.5 MPa) and tear resistance, and is not prone to cracking or blistering under repeated stretching during high-pressure thermoforming and vacuum forming. Hardness and thickness: Shore hardness is generally between 40A and 90A (medium-soft hardness is commonly used to ensure a good fit), and common thicknesses include 2mm, 3mm, and 4mm.
